10t Hydraulic Driven Winch Specifications
OCS owns two (2) units of 10 Tonne Hydraulic Driven Winches. These winches are heavy-duty, high-performance units designed for demanding offshore and marine construction applications. Each winch is powered by a Hägglunds 6185 hydraulic motor, delivering reliable torque and control even under extreme loads. With a fail-safe hydraulic release band brake system, the winch ensures maximum safety and operational control, particularly in critical lifting, pulling, and tensioning activities. Designed to operate at a working pressure of 3,250 psi (224 bar) with a flow rate of 7 m³/hr (30.5 USgpm), these winches provide consistent, efficient performance in challenging offshore environments.
The winches are well engineered with a drum diameter of 508 mm, 960 mm width, and 1,188 mm flange diameter, capable of handling up to 360 metres of 32 mm rope. Measuring 2,100 x 1,470 x 1,322 mm and weighing approximately 2.5 tons without rope (4.1 tons with rope), they are built for strength and stability while keeping within manageable dimensions for integration on barges and offshore spreads. These winches form a critical part of OCS’s subsea and pipeline construction spreads, supporting operations such as pipeline pull-ins, subsea equipment handling, and trenching support with precision and safety.
