EPCI for JDA Block B-17-01 Field Development Project, Phase 6

Client

Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company Sdn Bhd (CPOC)

Contractor

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd / PT. Timas Suplindo.

Location

Malaysia–Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA).

Project Period

July 2025

CPOC, acting as the Operator on behalf of PC JDA Limited (PCJDA) and PTTEP International Limited (PTTEPI) under the Malaysia–Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA), is responsible for the development of petroleum resources in Block B-17-01 of the MTJDA. CPOC has successfully executed Phases 1 to 5 of the field development, encompassing the MUDA Processing Platform (MDPP), multiple satellite and bridge-linked wellhead platforms, associated subsea pipeline networks, living quarters, and flare systems. Condensate is stabilized and exported via Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) facilities, while gas is treated, compressed, and exported via subsea pipelines to buyers in both Thailand and Malaysia.

To ensure continuity of gas supply commitments, the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) contract for Phase 6—comprising five new satellite wellhead platforms (ADC, ADD, ADE, JKC, and JKD) and associated pipeline infrastructure—was awarded to Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE), with the Transportation and Installation (T&I) scope subcontracted to PT. Timas Suplindo.

OCS Scope:

Offshore Construction Specialists Pte Ltd (OCS) was engaged to support PT. Timas Suplindo by providing comprehensive Project Construction Management, T&I Engineering, Jacket Levelling Tool (JLT) services, and pipeline pre-commissioning activities.

Project Outcome:

The offshore installation campaign was successfully completed in June July 2025 to the full satisfaction of all stakeholders, reaffirming OCS’s commitment to technical excellence, safety, and value creation throughout project execution.
