In-House Strategic Decommissioning Equipment
OCS owns and operates a wide range of specialized subsea decommissioning tools that enable us to respond rapidly and perform with precision across complex decommissioning scopes:
Cutting Systems
- Internal High-Pressure Abrasive Suspension Cutters
- 16” to 42” Pipe Cutting Head (PCH)
- Multistring: 7” DCH-1 (expandable to DCH-2 and DCH-4)
- 30” to 72” Dual Cutting Head DCH-3
- External Cutting Tools
- Chain Manipulator System for piles, conductors, jacket legs, and braces
- Diamond Wire Cutters (DWC) – 14” to 38” with extendable capacity up to 60”
Lifting & Extraction Tools
- Internal Lifting Tools (ILTs)
- 24” – 42”ILT – used for smaller diameter piles and conductors. This can also be used in pipeline recovery. Weight = 3mT. Working load limit = 330mT
- 30”– 54” ILT – used for larger diameter piles and conductors. Weight = 4.4mT. Working load limit = 500mT
- 4.0 meter ILT – this is used for monopile and wind tower foundation lifting. Weight = 40mT. Working load limit = 850mT.
Pile Soil Plug Removal Tools
- Jet Airlift Systems
- This is used for sandy and soft soil conditions.
- Equipped with high-pressure jetting pumps and compressors for efficient soil plug evacuation and pile cleaning prior to cutting or removal
- Drilling Off The Boom
- This is used for very dense soil or rocky conditions.
- The spread consists of drill string, bottom hole assembly, roller cutters, power swivel, hydraulic power pack, tongs and make up assembly.
Drilling & Preparation Equipment
- Dual Drilling Unit (DDU)
- Covers 16” to 36” pile drilling and is extendable to 43” to 60”
- Used for pile severance in high-resistance or damaged structures
