People & Culture

At OCS, our greatest strength isn’t just the engineering excellence and innovative solutions we deliver across oceans, it’s the people who make it happen. Whether you’re deep in design, firing up fabrication, swimming in spreadsheets, plotting through project plans, or braving the elements with boots in the mud, life at OCS is anything but ordinary. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter careers or mindless tasks. Instead, we offer hands-on exposure, real-world impact and the chance to work alongside people who take pride in doing the tough jobs well. Don’t be fooled though; no one said it would be easy. The work will stretch you, surprise you, and maybe even keep you up at night, but it’ll also push you to become the best version of yourself, one challenge at a time.

Don’t just take our word for it – ask the people who’ve built their careers here. Some joined us more than a decade ago and stayed because the work keeps evolving, the learning never stops, and the camaraderie is second to none. From Singapore to Batam and Bangalore, our teams thrive on collaboration, shared knowledge, and a culture that rewards initiative, integrity, and resilience.

Cahya Adi Kurniawan Yefta

Senior Operations Engineer

Batam, Indonesia

With OCS since November 2007

I’ve been with OCS since 2007, starting out as a field engineer before moving into my current role as Senior Operations Engineer. In that time, I’ve had the chance to work on all kinds of offshore projects from pipelines and platforms to trenching and decommissioning. Every project has been different, and each one has taught me something new.

What I enjoy most is being out in the field with the team, solving problems together and coming up with practical solutions when things don’t always go as planned. I also like to look for ways to improve how we do things finding better, safer, and more efficient ways to get the job done.

For me, OCS has become like a second home. I’ve built strong friendships here and I really value the opportunity to guide younger engineers as they grow in their careers. Even after almost two decades in the industry, I’m still learning every day, still contributing, and still excited to be part of projects that make a real impact.

Syed Dedy Mahdy

Senior Operations Engineer

Batam, Indonesia

With OCS since November 2007

I was among the first Indonesian engineers who took a leap of faith to join Keith when OCS was established, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. From managing pigging operations in the Natuna Sea to executing major pre commissioning scopes on pipelines across the region, each project was a feather in my professional cap. Along the way, I was based in Singapore for many years, which gave me wide exposure to international operations. I then relocated to Batam to oversee the fabrication, storage, and deployment of our strategic equipment and local resources. OCS has been an excellent platform to deepen my technical expertise, take on leadership responsibilities and help build a strong Indonesian engineering presence in the marine construction space. It’s a journey I’m proud to have undertaken and one that keeps evolving. My advice for any aspiring Indonesian engineers who looking to make an impact is to look no further than OCS!

Raditya Andy Kurniawan

Senior Structural Engineer

Singapore

With OCS since April 2012

When I first joined OCS, I thought I was just signing up for another engineering role but it was far from that! From offshore platform installation campaigns to engineering jackets and topsides, my journey here has been one of deep dives (literally and figuratively) into complex, real world challenges. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bed of roses. Some periods are tough with long hours and plenty of unexpected curveballs. But I think that’s what keeps it exciting… and the learning never stops. So, what do I love most about OCS? The freedom to be hands on, to innovate, a voice to make my views heard and the right people by my side to get the job done. At OCS, work doesn’t just feel like a job. It feels like an adventure with new challenges every single day.

Chayutra Sritaporn

Senior Drafting Supervisor

Singapore

With OCS since May 2010

It’s never a dull day at OCS. There’s always a new challenge to tackle… and I like that! After many years of drafting across architecture, piping, and structural work, I’ve found that offshore projects have a different kind of energy. Here, I’m not just drawing for the sake of drawing I’m creating something that gets built, lifted, installed, and used in real world conditions. What really helps is having the right tools, resources and a solid team that supports each other. It makes a big difference when your ideas are valued, and you’re surrounded by people who know how to work hard and still share a laugh at the end of the day.

Narsing Vamshi Krishna

Senior Structural Engineer

Bangalore, India

With OCS since August 2018

Fresh out of NIT Calicut in 2018, I jumped straight into the deep end literally with OCS. As one of the younger engineers in the team then, I quickly realised this wasn’t your average desk bound engineering job. At OCS, I found myself designing everything from piggyback clamps in Singapore to stability analyses for jackets in the middle of the Mumbai High. I’ve tackled sea fastening, rigging, lifting, and even helped pull a 3 pipe bundle through an existing subsea pipeline (not as simple as it sounds!). Over the years, I’ve grown from rookie to resident problem solver, thanks to the unmatched exposure this company offers. If you’rean engineer looking for real world action, not just textbook theory, then OCS is where you should be!
