Subsea Umbilical Riser Flexible (SURF) Services
OCS specialises and has an extensive experience in SURF services which includes installation of Subsea Structures, Flexible Flowlines, Flexible Risers and Umbilical Installation. OCS provides Concept & Field Infrastructure Development, Construction Management, Marine Planning, Engineering and Offshore Execution which includes the following work elements;
Subsea Structures:
- Lift Rigging Analysis
- Transportation and Seafastening Analysis
- Pile Driveability Studies and Hammer Selection
- Loadout and sea fastening of the Subsea Structures
- Mobilisation of Marine Equipment to support the product installation.
- Installation of Subsea Structures; gravity type, pin piled etc.
- Pile impact driving or driven with a subsea vibro
Flexibles and Umbilical Installation:
- Flexible / Umbilical Installation Analysis
- Reel Transportation and Seafastening Analysis
- Mobilisation and rig up of Flexible lay system (Reel Drive System, Horizontal lay tensioners, deflectors and overboarding chute)
- Mobilisation of Marine Equipment to support the product installation.
- Loadout and sea fastening of the Reels
- Detail planning on the product unpacking from the reel including installation of end fittings, bend restrictors, anodes and continuity cables etc
- Detail planning on product overboarding, normal lay, midline connections and product overage management
- Connections back seal test
- Pre-commissioning of the product and overall system.
Remedial Service:
OCS is also experienced in the remedial and repair service. One of the most significant project carried out by OCS is MODEC MV12 Riser remedial project whereby OCS provided engineering, procurement and fabrication of the aluminum piggy back clamps, steel riser strengthening clamps, steel 3” friction clamp to MWA, procurement of 3” replacement hoses (including spare) and all ancillaries necessary for the remedial works. The project was awarded in April 2020 and completed in early July 2020. Refer to following link for details of the project.
